synopsis

Four Sicilian popular feasts tell about ancient traditions and spectacular rites, often not well known or considered dangerous by the public order. In the cyclical alternation of seasons the communities, whether they are made up of fishermen or farmers, spend several months of preparatory work in these events, finding in them the full expression of their collective identity. The ancestral link with the territory is identified with a specific natural element, so representative of that place.
